Polaris
Okay, so it's time for a wee rant.
Most of the KNOWN WORLD will tell you that the last two stars in the Big Dipper point directly at Polaris, the North Star.
I'm going to tell you - AIN'T NOTHING THERE. Seriously. If you follow the line made by those last two stars, they don't point at crap. They ALMOST point at the stupid North Star, but they don't point exactly at it. And being an EXTREMELY literal and naive person at heart, I never was sure where stupid Polaris actually was, since where everyone TOLD me it would be there was NOTHING.
I've decided that I now know where Polaris is, and if I ever get lost in the woods - well, then I'll admit that I was wrong.
UNTIL THEN - I'd like to send a shout out to the best website I've found - the one that actually admits that THE LAST TWO STARS IN THE BIG DIPPER DO NOT POINT DIRECTLY AT POLARIS.
Not only that - but they also admit that the Little Dipper doesn't look a damn thing like a dipper... but that's a rant for another time.

I know. I'm very troubled by very strange things.

It does seem an odd topic to get excited about. I'm glad my use of the word "almost" gave you relief. Are you finding it now? If not, email me next time you're lost in the woods.
