Camping and other fab stuff

SO!  I went camping on Saturday up at Table Mountain, which was lovely and beautiful and snow-covered.  Er, oops.  Evidently it snowed a good bit on Friday, and by the time I got there around midday Saturday there weren't many people left at all.   So that was nice.  There was, however, a layer of snow about 6-8 inches deep on the picnic table of my campsite, etc.  Now, I have a three-season tent, the fourth season being THE COLD ONE, so I was underequipped.  But the dog and I made it through the night without dying of exposure (somehow), I built a fire that night, built a fire in the morning, saw a coyote and lots of birds, and had a generally good time overall.  I did, however, decline to stay a second night.    I felt like such a wimp, but when people in RVs WITH HEAT are leaving due to the cold, I guess me n my dog in our Costco tent can feel a little better about ourselves, eh?

Monday was Memorial Day (in case you missed it), and I went to a fab party at a fab friend's fab house a block from FAB Venice Beach, which was far sunnier and warmer and less-crowded than expected.  Ate some fab food, talked with some fab people, etc.

Tuesday I had an audition through my new manager, hooray!  I've been trying to get back on the dropoffs/submissions/new headshots track, but it's quite frankly dull and expensive, so I've been dragging my feet a little.  Thankfully I've gotten a bit more discipline together over the past couple of days so that's almost done, but with all the different online services to update and different headshots for my agent and manager and all that - it's a pain in the butt.  As a certain someone whom I miss very much would say, "Quality problem."

So this week I've been realizing I'm broke as hell, which is not-so-fab, but I've got a fab financial plan which involves winning money rather than earning it.  I've got a game show audition Friday and another on Monday.  Hooray!  Think fab thoughts for me!
