In other news...

So yeah.  Some things get their own post.

I met with my new headshot photographer, Shandon Youngclaus (www.amazingheadshots.com) and I really, REALLY like this guy.  Super-cool and easy to talk to, which was my first priority in meeting with him, but what really impressed me was how focused he was on getting effective COMMERCIAL shots for me.  Which is great, since it's great commercial shots I'm primarily after, it's my commercial agent who recommended I get new shots and told me about him (no kickback concerns, seriously, it's cool) and it showed a certain business-savvy and results-oriented attitude that helps ME focus on getting what I need from my shots rather than "oooh, I like looking pretty this way" or any of that.   And he's just cool, did I mention that?   So that's all good.  Can't wait to shoot, except I have a lot of wardrobe and image work to do before I shoot.  I need good hair.

What else... oh!  I had an audition for "America's Most Wanted" yesterday, which was a lot of fun.  Ran into an actor with my Dad's name almost, which was bizarre.   Fun audition, super-nice CD, etc.  I LIKE auditioning!  Me want more!

I'm feeling better overall, I'm still coughing a good bit but I slept pretty well the past two nights, which is really a nice change from earlier this week.

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING:  My sketch show at Second City opens TONIGHT!  Come see "Seven Crackers and a Brownie" Friday nights through February at 9:30pm!  It's FABULOUS and it may sell out so call the Second City office for reservations!  It's only $10, it's VERY funny, and I sing in it.  Whatever excuse you're trying to come up with for not seeing this show - it's not good enough!
