Cat. Bag. Out.

Okay.  So I've been incommunicado for a reason, which is that I'm getting divorced and I had an elderly relative who was the world's coolest person and I didn't want that fact getting back to her when she was already having a rough time, so there.

To catch everyone up on the really important stuff - at least as far as this blog is concerned - I now live IN LOS ANGELES!  Well, Van Nuys, but close enough.  I'm a local!  I have arrived!  And within the first week, I booked!  That's right, my curious readers (all four of you) - I'm doing another infomercial for Sylmark.  I always enjoy working with them (this is my third time) and this is no exception.  This is a rough shoot though - I have to go Christmas shopping with their money.  Seriously.  It's rough, this actor life.

What else - well, our show at Second City is going really well.  It's still in development but Seven Crackers and a Brownie is getting very very good audience feedback.  Yes, I love the title of our show/group - we're an extremely irreverent bunch.  We also have a myspace page, so those of you who like the myspace should look us up!

Also, last week Terry and I (yes, the same Terry I'm splitting with, we're going stay in touch, everyone take the word "husband" and do a search-and-replace with the word "friend" in your brains...) went to a screening of the fabulous film Broken Windows - it's really very good.  The director, Tony Hickman, is a very very talented man, as well as very handsome and sweet.   The casting's not half bad either...   I have ANOTHER screening coming up - it seems Disfigured is now finished, Glenn Ger's pet project - very excited to see that film!  Much improv in that as well as myself in light goth/punk makeup/dress.    Can't wait to see how that looks.  Who knew I'd have such an affinity for smudged black liquid eyeliner?  And a FABULOUS script, great people - really excited.

Other than that, I've just been settling in, love my new apartment - finally got my internet access today so I'm blogging.   My plans are to rehearse our sketch show, do a couple mailings, continue the theatrical agent hunt, and look into some classes.  I really want to take Stuart K. Robinson's commercial class, but I also REALLY would like to get into a good on-camera class.  I may have to actually get a job.  Eep!

Sooooooo glad you're in, settled, and Interneted again.

    Yay!

Great work in "Broken Windows." And it was nice to meet Terry (love your "search and replace" directive, here).

Keep kickin' ass, LA-girl. Welcome! And {{{hugs}}} for you as well.
