I came home for THIS?

Okay, so I go off to LA on Thursday, only come home late last night.  Great trip, really tired.  Whatev.   So this morning, Terry wakes me up to let me know that someone may have peed on the chair, he tried to blot it up, but he had to run to work for a patch - oh, but it could probably wait until I woke up.

Great.  I fall back asleep against my better judgement.

When I wake up, someone's peed on the chair... and the couch.  Now, this would be the new chair-and-couch set that we got in December of last year, in bright red microfiber.  Red never bleeds, does it?  And 8" foam cushions should be a cinch to get clean.

Uh-huh.

So after freaking out a bit (realizing I have nowhere to clean the cushions, so I have to clean half the house to get a place cleared), Terry gives me the advice to put the cats up in his office to keep them off the couch and cushions and table and stuff while I clean everything.  Smart guy.

So I do, I make six or seven phone calls to various warranty companies whose phone systems keep disconnecting me, I start cleaning, yadda yadda.  I finally go take a peek at the kitties to say hi and stop Oliver from frantically scratching on the door, and I find that Jack has gotten hypoglycemic and is pretty out of it, curled up next to the litter boxes on top of some old cat poop.

Yay.  Anyway, he's fine, the vet bill wasn't as bad as I expected, the couch is getting cleaned (and repaired, I found one of the cushion's zippers broke at some point) eventually, and the house is getting some serious cleaning done today - it's a disaster, don't get me wrong, but it's getting better.

Wake me when it's spring.
