So last night was the screening of Pool Party.  Seriously, that was such a good time.

The movie is funny.  Ridiculous, but really funny.   Definitely not a movie I'd show to my dear great-aunt, but so silly and good-hearted, and somehow Bingo the Monkey Clown ACTUALLY WORKED as a character... all great things.  It was great to see people again, it's been like a year and a half since I shot it.  A GREAT group of people to work with (and really talented), so it was nice to reconnect and see what everyone's been up to (and get some free Christopher Walken impersonations, info on burlesque, and make new friends over chicken-that-tastes-like-pork-but-is-really-chicken.)  Oh, the after-party was great.  Great location, great food, great layout for a party, great drink tickets (with a very beloved character from the film printed on them, everyone was keeping them for souvenirs, which says something!) - and great people.   Had a LOT of fun.

And people said REALLY amazingly nice things to me, REALLY, but I don't want to brag so I won't.  Let's just say that it was a completely new experience and one which I could definitely bear to repeat.

I'm frightened to see the outtakes on the DVD though... I think I'll need a couple days to recover before I'm ready for that.
