Do you prefer chicken or fish?
So today was interesting. I discovered several fascinating things:
1. There's an adorable house for sale near me that I can't afford, but I keep forgetting that.
2. There's actually an apartment complex in LA that will take me, husband, fish, cats, dog and all. Just gotta figure out if we're ever MOVING there or not.
3. Teddy (my dog) seems to GREATLY prefer low tide to high tide.
4. The local community garden is awesome and has chicken and duck pens. Seriously cool.
5. Frank Langella does a freakin' AWESOME acceptance speech. Yay Tonys!
6. I really need to go to NYC more often.
In yesterday's news, my improv workshop at IO (for the LA Improv Festival) was SUPER cool. I took a workshop with Chris Tallman from Thank God You're Here, mostly because I liked him a lot on that show and I figured I could learn something. Learned TONS. Biggest thing I learned was how much I don't know about improv. I love Second City, but I didn't realize how many other styles and forms there were out there to learn from! I'm going to have to branch out - and this is saying a lot from a girl who kept thinking maybe THIS class was the last one....
Also, things that look and smell like cattle calls will probably turn out to be cattle calls. Hey, at least I got to reconnect with a bunch of actors I know - even if I DIDN'T get to audition (had I stayed, total time from sign-in to audition would've been 3-3.5 hours.)
