I got shot!
Wow, I marked this as draft and never published it... oops.
Okay, lame joke. We shot my scenes in Broken Windows this morning, which was a lot of fun even if my call time WAS 5am.
Let me just say, wrapped by 9:30 in the morning is cool, but it means your call time was too darn early.
I've spent the time since sleeping - I couldn't sleep last night. I felt ehn about my brilliance as a performer today, however - but we shot pretty quickly (so I didn't need a million takes or anything, I think 5 on the first shot was the max) and I'm going with the "if they don't like it, they'll change it" thing. Which is a good thing to go on, since Tony told me that.
VERY professional set, also very nice people. I saw the executive producer taking care of the extras, asking the wardrobe people if they needed anything, etc. And all the "big film" accoutrements were present - I had the funny shrunken sides, the PAs had headsets, the camera dolly was really cool (that is one really nifty piece of equipment, that dolly) and I had a trailer. Okay, it was a shared trailer (with Sara Botsford, whom I only met briefly, and the fabulous Jennifer Hall who's adorable and loves Italy too) but it was a huge huge fancy RV and that was just sooooo much fun.
Oh - and MY SAG and Taft-Hartley paperwork!!!
Wheeee! I freakin' LOVE a film set. Even at 5am. I really do. I'm looking forward to the next one!
Other tidbits: I now own a pair of Dr. Martens and I love them, I know where two small interesting-looking Italian restaurants are in La Jolla Shores, and I feel surprisingly comfortable with an apron around my waist.
