Acting and Fishies
Maybe I should just rename my blog to display "Acting and Fishies" as its title, huh?
Anyway, I spent Wednesday assisting the lovely Bon Bon, then doing the improv thang, then going out afterwards with the improv peeps (last class of the session), then sleeping in the Super 8 NoHo. That's actually a very nice place to sleep - clean, cheap, free parking, boring area but who cares? It's easy to get to from the freeways!
Thursday I met up with my buddy Cory Knauf from acting class, who's since moved up to LA and seems to be doing really well, except for being in a car accident. It was really good to see him again, talk about acting teachers, agents, managers, auditions, etc - always really nice to touch base with people with common interests but ESPECIALLY nice to get in touch with people with some common background.
Hopefully I'll get to see him more often in the future, he's a doll and it looks like his career's doing really well too. He's becoming quite the horror film star!
Dropped by my agency to leave some more photos (in hardcopy, they use one headshot look almost exclusively, which I find interesting. I wonder if it's because it's the best photo or because it's on top!) and say hi. Talked to one of the agents for a few, made sure he still likes my pix (he does) and asked him about the whole SAG thing (stay eligible as long as possible before joining, etc.) - nice guy.
Headed back over to the Beautiful Bonnie's, who was a little... under the weather? Hope you're feeling better, darling!
Did some interny stuff, then headed home - saw a role on Charlie Wilson's War I want (French-speaking nurse with Doctors Without Borders, the film's with Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and written by... AARON SORKIN!), called the agents and left a message, got home, emailed the agents, got a message this morning that they were sending over my headshot, yay! YAY Agents!
