Heeeee!
Okay, so a LOT is going on but I'm not going to blog about it yet.
I'm tired, I've got a big audition tomorrow, and I don't want to talk acting stuff, so nyeh.
I went to join my dear dear friend and her very sweet baby at the park today. Balboa Park is just a LOVELY place to walk around - and the entire universe agreed with us on that, it seemed. Parking was a challenge. But still - the Japanese garden was free to county residents today, so who can resist that? I think I need to get into Bonsai....
Also, my dear dear husband came home EARLY, which just never happens. We went out and had some lovely barbecue at a crazy busy place that's just opened near our house then went to The Home Depot for some paint. Why paint? To paint our new aquarium stand with, of course! Now, do we HAVE a new aquarium stand? Of course not. But we're gonna. Thursday it will be MINE!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! It's a combo - aquarium and unfinished pine stand (soon to be a nice painted white) and then on Friday all the stuff I ordered for the tank should arrive. There are a few details to iron out - for example, what gravel/sand/substrate will we use? Oh, and what fish will go in it? But I'm looking forward to getting it all set up and filled with water and cycled.
I also went by the plastics store today to ask about my cracked acrylic aquarium and they sold me a $3 tube of goo that should fix it right up. Well, we'll see.
I'm hopeful, it's a well-used product by people who BUILD acrylic aquariums (see, and you thought _I_ was obsessed!) so with such a small (5 gallon) tank I think it'll patch up the tiny leak and small cracks well enough to be safe if we're cautious and don't abuse it.
Oh, and we sent off our membership form to the San Diego Tropical Fish Society today. HEEEE!
