So I had an audition today for a summer Shakespeare festival, and that was nice.  I think I was a little nervous, which happens to me if I don't have a THEATRE audition for a while, but I think it went well.  It was in the new Actors Alliance of San Diego space, which is just gorgeous.  It's in a newly constructed dance building about 8 minutes (and a super-easy drive) from my house and it reminded me SO MUCH of Maryland Hall in Annapolis, where I grew up - just the modern version - which was a really really neat feel.   

After that, drove to La Jolla to help with some local auditions for a feature film.  Great people, super-easy workload, very laid-back day.  Met some nice people, saw some new acting acquaintances and some old acting acquaintances and had a FABULOUS crepe for lunch, oh my god.  Crepes filled with warm brie, thinly sliced granny smith apples, caramelized onions and bacon are TO DIE FOR.  And french producers who buy ice cream sandwiches for everyone are pretty cool too.   Just a nice day.  Tomorrow I'll be helping with callbacks for other roles in this film up in Santa Monica, which should also be just a nice, easy day.   It feels good to be learning about how films get made, reading with other actors, auditioning for theatre, etc - it really does feel like I'm making progress even if I'm not auditioning for commercials every day or whatever. 

I purchased some aquarium supplies online last night and they were prepared for shipping today, woo hoo!  No, I still don't have an aquarium, but when I DO get one, I'll have a filter and a heater and a thermometer and some dechlorinator....
