Audition, yay!
So I had an audition today for a local production of W;t and it went well. It wasn't exceptional, and I'm not sure why, but it was good and fun and I saw an old theatre buddy and that was fun too.
I really like this play, I hope they'll cast me in it somewhere.
In other news, I think I'm going to stay with Verizon and upgrade my phone to a Motorola Q. I'll get access to the internet, etc, so my monthly plan will be significantly more expensive (although it'll have more minutes, which means I won't have as many (any?) overage charges, so it'll even itself out) but the phone itself will be FREE. Gotta love customer loyalty programs, right? It's a cool phone. I can view Excel files on it.
I just have to wait nine days until I'm eligible for the upgrade. And I have to pick silver or black....
Didn't go up to LA on Thursday or Friday, which had me feeling bad about poor Bon, mired in stacks of headshots, but I did get a lot of my stuff done - a headshot mailing, visiting some friends, laundry, rehearsing for my audition, going to the gym, etc. I plan on living in LA this next week.
Speaking of living in LA, I decided to call Oakwood Apartments and find out how much a furnished studio would cost me for a month. For those of you who don't know what Oakwood is, for our purposes they're an apartment complex up near Hollywood that caters to parents bringing their kids to LA for pilot season. Much as I'd love to have a crash pad in LA, let's just say that nice as they were on the phone, I won't be renting there!
WOW. Big bucks. I think the Super 8 in NoHo is more my speed (actually, that's much better than you'd expect it to be!)
I so so so can't wait to get my new phone. I'm going to be a demon when I get it.
