So there's a lot of banging and noise coming from downstairs, and that's the ONLY reason I'm up before six (we went to bed at around - three?  Just watching some TV and listening to the music from the party downstairs) - I figure when I hear someone yell "you're bleeding really bad" and the walls are shaking from some impact of sorts I get to call the cops.

Wow.  I think I guessed right - sounds like someone got injured, so yay me for calling.  Hopefully your new year partying turned out better!  Oy!
