So Hawai'i was great!   Had a great time, saw and did a lot (enough to LOSE weight on vacation, good lord - tons of walking!) and did I mention had a great time?   We went to see lava, went horseback riding, went to a luau (lu'au?) and discovered the fabulousness that is snorkelling.

I was right - I pretty much can't sink.  So snorkelling, for me, is just lying face down in the water looking at the pretty fishes.  Very fun.  Okay, so I learned to kick with fins on, and that was kind of fun 'cause it gets you from place to place quickly, but otherwise, let's be honest - snorkelling's pretty darn easy.  It's like birdwatching with more birds, except they're fish.  And you don't notice if it's hot 'cause you're in the water.  Very pleasant activity, really.

Still - the horseback riding - big fave.  Can't even begin to go into how much fun that was.  Love me some equines.

So we're home now, and we're hanging out with my mom (best darn petsitter ever) and my friends and their baby and eating some really yummy foods and catching up on all the stuff on the DVR.  I'm SO ready to get some more auditions, etc - going to be helping Bonnie some this week, got my last improv class (performance on the 17th, wheeeee!), class tomorrow... it's so nice to come back from vacation (where I thought about acting stuff relatively little) and be happy about going back to work.   How cool is it when you can look forward to vacation, not think about work on vacation, ENJOY vacation, and then still look forward to working when you come home?   Love my life.
