Woe.

Okay, so the down side to having such a wonderful audition/callback experience for "The Game" is that I want MORE of that!   It was seriously so much fun - I miss it already!  Unfortunately, I feel the holidays approaching and I'll be gone for a week (in Hawaii, hooray!) and so I fear that things will slow down a good bit.  Just like weekends are hard for me 'cause there aren't very many breakdowns (and thus, projects to look forward to) - the holidays, fabulous as they are, are a bit of a downer when it comes to work.  Of course, I'd MUCH rather be bummed because I can't pursue work than be living for those couple weeks a year and dreading work.  I'm so damned lucky.

Anyway, the Second City Conservatory audition went just fine, thanks.   We had fun, though I (and I think some of my classmates) were a little nervous.  I was surprised by that, actually, but I think improv is one of those things that can be so brilliant one moment and so crummy the next (probably due to us all being newish students) that to some extent you're just hoping you get lucky in that moment.  Of course we get better all the time, but improv is something I find surprisingly challenging.  Sometimes you're just inspired, other times you struggle.  Still, we have a great group and we really support each other and have a good time together, which is important.  If it's not fun, why do it?

Terry's brother and his friend are in town this weekend so we're meeting them for dinner soon.  Should be fun, we're going to a great seafood restaurant on the bay.  Hopefully we'll have a chance to run some errands first, with the holidays and our trip coming up we're starting to have - gasp - responsibilities to attend to!  Aieee!
