Doubt!

So we went to see Doubt by John Patrick Shanley - and JPS, if you're reading this, I love your play.   I loved it when I read it, I loved it more when I saw it (it's so funny in parts, but it's such a dark train-wreck sort of play that you can miss it in places, and so much was done with the physical staging of the piece) - and I'm gonna love it more when I reread it, which I absolutely will do now that I have a copy signed by Cherry Jones.   They were selling scripts at the theatre, portions of profits going to some charity, and though I had a copy ... well, you know how it goes.  Ms. Jones ain't half bad, by the way.  In case you were wondering or a little unsure from all the awards she's won, but I was blown away by Chris McGarry, who played Father Flynn.  Wow.  And what a gorgeous production - I would've greatly preferred to see it in a smaller venue, but it's a slick little show.

In other news, I'm making banana bread, and I'm against the death penalty.
