Today has been a great day, although very strange.  We had to get up VERY early so Terry could meet his father, who's in town for a few days, and pick up our new super-cool TV - a really nice passed-along gift from my great in-laws.   Then breakfast, and home by 9:15.  Now, notice that I'm almost never awake at that time, but for good company, good food and a freakin' awesome TV I can be persuaded.

A little jaunt to Goodwill to get rid of some old stereo components and miscellany, a couple naps, a lovely dinner at a lovely fish restaurant with the lovely father-in-law, and home again --- to find that one of the indie film projects I worked on a few months ago has been officially cancelled.

That just sucks.   Now, I know it happens to everyone, so in that sense it's almost comforting - like yes, another milestone passed - but I was looking forward to seeing how that came out.   Wah.  Maybe I'll get some raw footage of it one day, maybe not, but it's a disappointment for everyone.

Ah well.  I guess I'll have to make some tea or something and go watch my new freakin' amazing TV.
