Special Skills

Yeah, so today is the universe saying to me, "Get off your damn ass!"

I'm planning on hanging out here most of the day, getting some errands done, relaxing, etc.  But no, the universe isn't having any of that.  First there was the call to go help out at my agent's office, which was cool.  Very laid-back, fun, interesting, educational, etc.   Someone told me they submit me all the time and to be patient and not get frustrated - and that's WITHOUT me whining "why don't you guys send me oooooouuuuuutttttt", so that's nice.  And it could be my imagination, but I think my stack of hardcopy headshots might have been smaller too.

So that's the main thing.  I've got an audition tomorrow, I ordered some biz cards before ActorFest on Saturday that'll be ready on Friday, I have an invitation (from the FABULOUS Bonnie) to help with a casting session on Friday, and the thing I find weird:  all the breakdowns (I could be exaggerating here a bit) today are perfect for me... except for ONE THING.

They all require a special skill I've been MEANING to develop but haven't.

Eastern European accent?  Er, well, see, I know I could pull off the type but the voice... well, I meant to work on that.
Precision driving?  I thought I'd take a class in that!  Just an unusual thing to learn, not something someone of my "type" would commonly pursue, but fun - and knocking down cones while driving too fast sounds like a blast!  But, er, I haven't done that yet.
Hula hooping?  Well, despite my attempts with my wooden hoop from Bryn Mawr, I've forgotten that.  I think the last time I did it I was 12.

Point taken.  I'm going to go practice my juggling now.
