I'm baaaaaack!

Hello!   I'm back in sunny San Diego after my FABULOUS trip back to Maryland to see the folks and eat some crabs, and I have to say, I had a GREAT time.   I went crabbing TWICE and caught tons of crabs and let them all go and bought some at the market to eat.   What can I say, Mom didn't want to cook them at home.  Anyway, I caught the biggest freakin' crab I can remember seeing, Dad caught two at once, and I even caught a crab and a fish at the same time - which is a first for me.   And good god, the food.... cream of crab soup, steamed spiced shrimp, crabs, more crabs, still more crabs, mmmmmmm.  I want some more NOW NOW NOW!  If anyone knows where you can get real, fresh, steamed blue crabs in San Diego, tell me and I'll take you to dinner!

So although Maryland was great and my family was great and the weather was great, I'm here now and I want some auditions!   I have a student film audition on Wednesday and I suspect I'll get a few more soon, which is good.   Called my agents to let them know I'm back in town - will they get the message?  Who knows, but I know it's on the calendar when I'm out and when I'm in so I'm not too worried.   Gonna go self-submit to a million things, get some headshots together to do some drop-offs, buy me a Back Stage West (don't you think backstage should be all one word?) and get back in the swing of things!  Gotta run some errands and do some cleaning, too - my dear husband, bless his heart, is in the "work work work and if I'm home for a couple hours goof off completely" mode, which means that this apartment is a disaster area.  I'd kick his butt, but he's working until 2-3am these days, so I sympathize a bit.  JUST A BIT though.

Oh wow, that was my agency calling - and no, no auditions, but they need a hand in the office so I guess my plans for today have changed a bit.   The drive's a bit of a pain, but I really find it educational and interesting and I'm pretty sure it's a very worthwhile activity, so time to shower!
