I agree with Bonnie...
It's too darn hot to blog.
But blog I will anyway, 'cause, well, no one's around their computers to chat with. Everyone's lying naked in front of their fans as far as I can tell.
Which brings me to another matter: I refuse to use the air conditioning. Yes, we have it. No, we're not using it. I say every year that I'm going to get through the summer without turning it on, and every year I capitulate. Of course, this has been one of the hottest summers EVER (no scientific basis for me saying that, although if it WERE true I wouldn't be surprised) and probably not the best one in which to make a stand, but still. I've been successful so far....
I have an audition tomorrow for Ritter Sport - which is a chocolate company! YAY! I really like their chocolate from what I remember, so I went out and bought three bars just so I could do some research. Surely this is what they mean by "do your homework - show up to the audition prepared!" Rough job, this. Hey, I checked out the website too. I'm an A student!
What else is going on... well, yesterday I filmed some material for promo spots for an indie film I shot last year - these should be REALLY funny spots that they plan to release on myspace and the film's website - I can't wait to see these. Well, except for the ones with me channelling Jack Black... those are going to be SCARY. Seriously. And after the shoot (which my fabulous husband accompanied me to, yay you!) we went to watch some good tennis at the Countrywide Classic at UCLA (part of the US Open series) - I am SO not the tennis fan, but it's much more interesting live. We saw the Bryan brothers play (and I really like watching them, that doubles tennis is a lot more interesting than it sounds) and then we saw Bastl vs. Agassi. Bastl is a big, scary-looking guy who's not a bad player at all, good serve, etc. Thankfully though, Agassi won - I don't know how I'd have stood the ride home if he hadn't. And now I understand how riots start at soccer matches in South America - the fan support for Agassi was freakish. It was actually a really cool thing to see and be a part of - just a really different experience from what I'm used to.
Oh, and I was viciously attacked by a spider during the match. Seriously. It was on my neck and dropped DOWN MY SHIRT. I don't know how I avoided passing out yesterday - oh yeah, I forgot, I'm not a blushing flower. Still, even with the spider (who was a pretty harmless sort of spider, thank god) it was a really good day.
This evening's agenda: print directions to the audition tomorrow, get wardrobe together, and trap that cat! The bugger managed to stretch over the trigger plate and eat half the food I left for him without getting caught....
Most importantly though, I'm on baby watch.
I think my best friend's going to have her baby soon and I'm just so darn excited I could pee my pants.
YAY YAY YAY!
