Wow.
It's been quite a while since I've blogged, eh? Well, it's been hot here. Really hot. And that's made me tired, I think. I've been trying to drink juice and eat fruit and stuff but I'm still just tired. Tired tired tired. But I'm not quite as tired anymore as I was.
I've been really stuffy too, so I think having a hot and stuffy face makes you feel... you guessed it... tired. And like I'm coming down with something, except that I'm not.
I've been spending a couple hours each night trying to catch that damn cat. He's smarter than I am. He's very sweet - two days ago he let me pet him again for the first time in ages, and his whole face changes as he relaxes - and then he was done, and yesterday he was having none of that petting stuff, thank you very much. He did lie down on my steps though, so he's not THAT mad.
I'm officially Trying to Get a Trap. Little bugger.
The short-haired cat (without the ear problems) is another story entirely. Yesterday I discovered that I can scruff and pick him up without any difficulty, so I think he'll be easy to get in the carrier once I find him a good rescue group to work with finding him a home.
I know, some other cat will probably fill the voids left by these guys - but that's fine.
Veggie-wise: something's eaten my radishes. Blah. Stupid radishes, who cares about them anyway? The beans are all fine, and the new rockstars are my potatoes. They're HUGE! The plants are full and lush and green and not-buggy and I'm sure I'll have piles and piles of fingerling potatoes by the time I harvest them - whenever that is. I should reread the book.
Acting-wise: I helped get the Actors Alliance Festival set up this morning, which was fun - lots of reunions with theatre friends I hadn't seen in a while, and a sneak peek at the set on the main stage, which is cool. There is something about being in a theatre that is incomparable to anything else in the acting world.
No word on a callback for the Toyota spot, so we'll just move on there.
I had so much fun at that audition but I really don't think I was the right type for the spot - although I'm sure I gave the best performance they saw all day (heee!) if we were just casting off of looks - well, I wouldn't have picked me for that commercial either.
Time for the next audition... wonder what that will be?
