What the...?
So I go to work background on this casino commercial, and I get there early, park, put on some makeup, and go inside. I find holding, check in with the super-sweet PA, sign the release, go through wardrobe, change, finish makeup.
I sit for over an hour, chatting with the other fabulously nice extras. We watch the principals file in, get more makeup, file out. Then slowly the crew files in, and the (very nice) 2nd AD comes over and asks to talk to me. I follow him outside of holding and he stops in the hallway and tells me they've hired like 5 too many people and do I mind going home?
Um, YES??? I of course said no, no problem, he invited me to stay for dinner but I said no, I'd head on home, yadda yadda, no problem.
But what's up with that? Why did he have to pull me out of the room to ask me to go home if they had hired extra people? And why didn't I see him talking to anyone else? Did they just not like my look? I know it wasn't behavior-based 'cause I was a good girl....
Anyway, I left and called the CD on the way home to leave her a message letting her know that I was sent home, etc just in case communication broke down. And now I'm just wondering about Tuesday and Wednesday and whether I'll be told not to bother going.... And will I get paid for today?
There's a spider in my office and I hate Microsoft. Still.
Gr.
